Shortly after developing and teaching the History of American Advertising class at Washington University I had the honor of being asked to contribute to a new encyclopedia of advertising. It was the first and most comprehensive book of its kind. Originally published by Fitzroy-Dearborn the encyclopedia became co-branded with Advertising Age. It remains a valued reference in colleges, universities and libraries across the country.
